What our math map and practice can—and cannot—tell you.
We separate a published learning-dependency map from a short, unreviewed practice set. They describe different kinds of evidence.
1. Curriculum graph
The public skill map uses a Mathematics-only projection of Marble Skill Taxonomy v1: 504 skills and 989 relationships, with a fixed source revision. A "hard" edge means a proposed foundational learning relationship. It does not establish why any individual learner missed a question. Cross-subject links are not included in this projection.
2. Short practice observations
Our six original, unreviewed practice sets contain eight questions each. A separate group of thirty-six questions provides optional two-question follow-up examples across eighteen topical focuses. Results report the actual observed answers and may indicate topics worth exploring. There is no automatic mastery classification, learning disability diagnosis, grade-equivalence score, or causal inference.
3. Candidate topic connections
Question focus labels are associated with Marble topic IDs as editorial candidates. All eighteen mappings need independent human teacher review before being described as validated alignment. A connection to a Marble prerequisite is not evidence that the learner lacks that prerequisite.
4. Seven-day practice plans
The seven steps are deterministic, editable through future product releases, and intended to support conversation, models and brief practice at home. They are not clinical interventions or professionally validated individualized learning prescriptions.
5. Human review and sources
All 84 demonstration practice questions and eighteen mapping groups remain pending independent mathematics, age-appropriateness, clarity and accessibility review. We never convert review status automatically based on AI output. Licensed Marble text is credited separately from MathPath-authored practice. See licenses and attribution.
6. Privacy
Answers are processed within the page. The optional Family Notebook stores only brief aggregated practice summaries and steps in the adult's own browser after an explicit opt-in. We do not run an account, AI chat, paid subscription or server-side child database in this version. See our privacy notice.
